Change the timing to 14 degrees BTDC and the ignition process starts at 11.57 and 20 seconds. 5. Yep,,thats the way ya do it.As far as dial-back lights go,MSD actually recommends a Sears Craftsman timing light (at least they did a few years ago). I use a zip tie on mine to permanantley hold the button down. The ECM monitors the inputs from various engine sensors, computes the desired spark timing, and signals the Ignition Control module in the distributor to adjust timing.
